Sparkle Coon Cattery

Welcome to Sparkle Coon Cattery, I am Annelie van Vuuren.

Owner of this SACC registered Maine coon Cattery based in Pretoria East, South Africa.

We started our cattery in 2007, 19 years of breeding experience with the Maine Coon breed. Our Cattery is medium/large in size now. 

My daughter, Michelle van Vuuren is the co owner and has been a part of this cattery since she was young.

We are still active in the breeding community now in 2026.

We got our first breeding pair from Lenthall Cattery back in 2004, Blue Diamond and Georgie Girl.

We also added Roselyn, Daisy, Rex and Lily. We never kept one of their lines to this day.

We began expanding when we got Sir barnaby from the new Lenthall Cattery after the original owners of Lenthall tragically passed.

He was our first polydactyl Maine coon, Blue Tabby in colour.

We also added a few other Maine coons into our cattery.

A few years later we also rescued Arora from a breeder that had cancer.

We kept quite a few kittens from them. 

• ALL our kittens are registered with SACC. (Southern Africa Cat Council)
• ALL our kittens leave at minimum age of 12 weeks old.
• Kittens are de-wormed and inoculated before they leave for their new homes.
• We DO NOT allow declawing.
• We DO NOT do ESN (Early Spaying and Neutering)
• Spaying/Neutering HIGHLY recommended to be done between 6 to 8 months old.

Our kittens are HIV Aids and Leukemia Negative.

Our kittens consists of a variety of colours, they are raised with love and attention. Our kittens tend to be very playful and love attention, so be warned that they will not be sitting on your lap the whole day.
